Altair Jnr Academy

The ALTAIR PARTNERS’ sponsorship deal agreement over the past three years gave a boost to table tennis, which enabled Jersey Table Tennis Association (JTTA) to provide FREE table tennis lessons to school children and to build a strategy to raise awareness of the sport to a wide range of school children. As a result of these past successful three years, ALTAIR are continuing to sponsor the JTTA.

The agreement for the "Altair Junior Table Tennis Academy" covered three sessions which provided FREE table tennis for school children three times each week during term time. This busy schedule allowed JTTA to hold regular school competitions throughout the year. The JTTA aim to continue to hold events for adults, juniors and families as part of its drive to open the sport up to as many people as possible.

The ALTAIR PERFORMANCE ACADEMY (ages from 8-21) involves a minimum of 3 training sessions per week (below) with our very experienced international Level 2/3 Coach from Madeira, Miguel Freitas. Progression from Beginner to Academy mid-season is by invitation only by the Coaching sub-committee and after payment of the upgrade fee (calculated on a pro-rata basis from the start of the next term/quarter).

Miguel’s coaching sessions are:

Thursday 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Friday 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Saturday 10.00pm – 12.00pm
