The Jersey Table Tennis Association sent a team last weekend (5-6 SEPTEMBER, 2025) to compete in the VETERANS HOME COUNTRIES INTERNATIONAL 2025 TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS which was held at Nottingham Trent University. The teams were Hilary Le Cornu (over 60’s Women), Martin Tupper and Tony Wood (over 60’s Men) and Peter Hinds and Paul Routier (over 75’s Men). Martin Tupper, team captain, said “We are delighted to be entering three teams, as next year this major event with over 150 competitors will be hosted in Jersey so we will be picking up some tips about running it! We have been training hard and are aiming for medals. The only concern is that Peter is recovering from a broken finger on his playing hand but he is hoping to adapt his game. Otherwise, everyone is fit and well and ready to go.on.”
