1. When entering the Geoff Reed Table Tennis Centre MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS are required to SIGN the REGISTER in compliance with Health & Safety measures to enable the Jersey Table Tennis Association to be aware of all the occupants in the building at any one time.
2. Members are entitled to reasonable use of the facilities, subject to availability.
3. Acceptance of membership is at the discretion of the JTTA Council.
4. Players under the age of 14 are not permitted to use the facilities unsupervised.
5. Members are responsible for their behaviour and that of any guests. Unseemly behaviour, being in the opinion of the JTTA Council, could mean termination of membership without refund.
6. The JTTA reserves the right to close the GRTTC for any tournaments/other activities or connection with any repair/alteration/maintenance work. Advance notice of closures will be given where possible.
7. Players must be a member of the JTTA to participate in the annual League, JTTA Tournaments and to be considered for selection for JTTA team events including the inter insular.
8. Members using the door system must only use their access for themselves. If another individual enters the GRTTC through the use of another member's access to the door system, the JTTA reserves the right to terminate membership without refund.
9. Guests may be allowed on an occasional basis and is subject to the discretion of the JTTA Council. Members seeking to bring non-members to the GRTTC on a more frequent basis must gain permission from the JTTA Council.
10. Membership is not transferable.
11. Notices and signs around the facilities must be observed at all times.
12. No refunds are payable in the event of cancellation of membership prior to the end of the membership period
13. Fees are due in September and late payment may result in access to the GRTTC being restricted or membership terminated. The annual fee is discounted for new members by 25% on 1st December, 50% 1st March, 75% 1st June.
14. Where the option of payment by standing order applies payments must be made according to the requirements of the JTTA. If a standing order is stopped, or payment is not made, membership will automatically expire and access to the GRTTC withdrawn.
15. The JTTA cannot accept responsibility for theft/loss/damage to members', guests' or visitors' property however caused. Property left in lockers is left at the individual's risk.
16. If the JTTA is rendered unable wholly, or in part, to carry out its obligations by reason of force majeure, they will give notice and be released from any obligations. This will include circumstances beyond the control of the JTTA.
17. Photographs and videos of players may be taken and used in publicity and marketing materials including our website, social media and in any third-party publications. Please contact a member of the JTTA Council should you wish to be exempted from this.
18. Data Protection Law (Jersey) 2018 The information provided by you on the Membership Form is required by the Jersey Table Tennis Association for the purpose of maintaining membership records and governance. Children’s information supplied by you may be disclosed to sports coaches. Financial details provided will be securely disposed of. Where agreed by you, members’ details will be sent to Table Tennis England (TTE) to obtain an individual TTE Membership Number to enable the JTTA to trial a TTE league management system.
