Home Nations Veterans’ Tournament
18 - 20 September, 2026
The 2026 Veterans’ Home Nations was hosted by Jersey at the Oakfield Sports Centre, sponsored by TMF Group. Jersey welcomed over 130 players from across the Home Nations to Jersey to compete over the course of three days of singles, doubles and team events.
MARIUSZ CIEMINSKI, CMgr MCMI, won GOLD in the Over-40 Men's Singles, defeating the England No. 1 and top seed, Andy Wilkinson, in the semi-finals and Scotland's Marek Domagala in the final. His success didn't stop there, winning SILVER with our very own Head of Coaching, MIGUEL FREITAS. The pair enjoyed an excellent run to the final before coming up against England's top-seeded combination of Wilkinson and Jason Ramage.
More than these outstanding individual results, the event generated many wins - including the opportunity for 19 Jersey players to participate at this elite level on home soil and the moment to bring the whole table tennis community together behind the scenes under the leadership of our vice president, MARTIN TUPPER, to make it happen, including some of our juniors and player parents umpiring matches.
We are extremely grateful to those in the local and wider sporting community who supported us with hosting this remarkable event, most notably our lead sponsor TMF Group without whose help we could not have provided such a welcome; to Altair Group for sponsoring the Jersey team's kit and finally a big thank you to PHIL McCALLUM and the Tees Sport team for being the equipment sponsor for this event.
